Early on, I chose to purusue my creative expression through rap. This was a decision made for many reasons. I had plenty to say, it was an engaging format, but most importantly: I can’t sing. So what’s changed? Have I gotten better? Maybe a little. But thanks to the wonders of modern technology (and with respect to T-Pain), that doesn’t matter anymore. So without further ado…

Becase “fear of the ground is holding me down,” here’s “Terra Firma”, written by Joey B. for his band The Echoing Green.

That’s right, we’re going back to 1994 with this one. I’ve wanted to start covering songs through madcrasher for a while now, and I thought a great way to start would be taking an early work from one of my (top 5!) favorite bands and bringing it into 2020.

Then 2020… turned into 2020. And now I need to be reminded more than ever of just what I’m standing on. And maybe you do too. Because if there’s one thing we need now, it’s hope.

In case it wasn’t obvious, The Echoing Green is one of my favorite bands of all time. So if you’re interested, go check out their stuff!

And on the B-side, because “it’s not the Son that I run from,” here’s “Aurora”, also by The Echoing Green.
